Job description: Just Cities seeks a compassionate public policy/urban planning researcher and project manager with experience in transformative community planning and demonstrated commitment to advancing racial and social justice. The Community Engaged Public Policy/Planning Research Manager (Manager) will serve as the project and research manager of transformative and impactful public policy and urban planning initiatives in the Bay Area and California addressing housing, land use, transportation, and/or environmental justice. We seek a thoughtful, creative, and extremely organized individual who thrives on designing and managing organizational systems, loves working with grassroots residents and government officials alike, is passionate about the messy realities of urban planning and policy making, and enjoys urban planning research. The Manager will report directly to Just Cities staff. In addition, the Manager will work directly with UC Berkeley researchers and students, community partners, and government agency partners.
