The City of Oakland is currently recruiting qualified individuals to fill Planner II positions in both the Current Planning and the Strategic Planning Divisions. These positions are an exciting opportunity to participate in shaping the future of Oakland. The Planner II performs planning work involving current and/or long-range planning; reviews and implements zoning ordinances and general plan documents; conducts neighborhood and environmental impact studies; provides information to property owners, developers, and the public at the public information counter and in public meetings.; and performs related duties as assigned.
