URBAN AND ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY AND PLANNING – Corporate Management of Environmental Issues

Part-time Corporate Environmental Management Lecturer (non-tenure-track)

The Department of Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning at Tufts University is searching for a part?time lecturer to teach the graduate-level course Corporate Management of Environmental Issues in Spring 2022.

This course will be taught on Thursdays 6:30-9:00pm, although it is possible to negotiate a different time/day.  Instructors must also be willing to offer the course online if needed.

This course explores companies’ responses to pressure from stockholders, regulatory agencies, community, and nongovernmental organizations to exercise greater responsibility toward the environment. Topics include strategy, staffing and organization, decision making, codes of conduct, resources, program development, product responsibility, pollution prevention, trade associations, and foreign operations.

Qualifications

Candidates should have a master’s degree or PhD in in public policy, urban planning, political science, sociology, or a related field. Those with real-world practice and policy experience are preferred, as well as teaching experience at the college-level.
